Sometimes when a laptop is getting a little bit older, it has trouble holding a charge. But before deciding to replace the battery (or the laptop itself), go to the Windows Task Manager. (Ctrl + Shift + Esc or Right-click the Start Button and click Task Manager.)
Once Task Manager is open, click on the Processes tab. To the far right, you’ll see two columns for Power usage and Power usage trend. Select an app consuming too much of your battery and End Task to close.
Next, try this. Go to Settings > System > Battery. Select See Which Apps are Affecting Your Battery Life. There will be a listing of the apps which have used the most battery life in the last week or similar designation you choose.
Hope this helps with the battery life on your laptop. If you are still having trouble, give us a call.
