A new Excel feature allows a photo of a printed data table to be converted into a fully editable spreadsheet.  This feature is available on Android devices.  This feature, Insert Data from Picture, is a huge help to those who normally would need to manually enter the data.   Read more here: https://www.techspot.com/news/79001-microsoft-excel-can-automatically-convert-photographed-tables-fully.html

1.Tap the Insert data from picture button from your phone or tablet.

2. Narrow in on your data until you see it surrounded by a red border. Tap the capture button. Sizing handles around the edges are available to use to crop.

3. Excel will convert it to a table. Tap Ignore to move on to the any issues, or Edit to correct any issues. 

4. Press Insert.  Excel will finish the conversion process, and display your data.

Note: Insert data from picture is one of several beta features, and currently only available to a portion of Office Insiders at this time. We’ll continue to optimize these features over the next several months. When they’re ready, we’ll release them to all Office Insiders, and Office 365 subscribers.
