End of Life Countdown for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2

Paxis Technologies has recently been notified by Microsoft, that they will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7 or servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2008 after January 14, 2020. While this sounds like a long way off; to ensure a smooth transition we would like to meet as soon as possible for a more in-depth discussion regarding options and to create a transition plan.

What this means for you and your organization:

As of the January 14, 2020 end of life for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008 — your machines will continue to operate. However, Paxis Technologies will no longer receive security patches, service packs, or updates and support from Microsoft to push to your devices with these operating systems… leaving your network vulnerable to viruses and malware.

If you are in an industry subject to compliance such as PCI or HIPAA, these machines will be flagged as non-compliant. If you’re organization is not subject to compliance agencies, we strongly recommend addressing these machines as soon as possible, given the security risks they pose.

Upgrading these devices prior to this Microsoft change will equip your organization with optimal security, device speed, and manufacturer support.

We understand the impact this change has for each of our clients and meeting times are filling fast. Please select a date and time by clicking the link below for a thorough conversation to create a strategy that would work best for you.
